Privacy you actually get to control

Good privacy advice — from the EFF, from the FTC — tends to land on one idea: the less you hand over, the less there is to worry about. That is the whole design here. There is no registration wall, no email box, no "verify your number" before you can see a single face. The machinery that normally collects your details never runs, because you never fill it out.

From there, every decision about what to reveal is yours. Want to mention your first name, your city, the show playing behind you? Go ahead. Want to give away nothing and just talk? Equally fine. The person across from you has no profile to look you up in, because there is no profile to begin with — what they learn about you is only what you choose to say.
